JurisDoR, a legal resource center for research data

Launch of the JurisDoR website, a resource center for research data law, developed as part of a project commissioned by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (MESR). The website is affiliated with Recherche Data Gouv, which is one of the initiatives under the government’s Open Science Action Plan (PNSO).

The JurisDoR website provides the general public and the higher education and research communities with the legal resources needed for research data management.

The JurisDoR website is designed around the research data lifecycle. The presentation of the data lifecycle diagram has been adapted from its official version. This is because certain technical operations have no legal implications. The various applicable rules and standards are presented according to the operation performed on the data. The rules and standards are presented concisely. They are accompanied by sources and references and link to official texts. They are also accompaniedby examples drawn from scientific research across all scientific disciplines.
