LICeM brings together faculty members and researchers deeply engaged in the field of innovation, particularly in economic law. The unit, composed of legal scholars, focuses its research on two areas related to innovation in the context of law.
The first area aims to identify and understand—in light of new market offerings and behaviors—what legal innovations are being created.
The second area, meanwhile, seeks to analyze the legal framework governing innovative products resulting from digital technologies. The team’s research serves as an important foundation for the courses it offers at the Master’s and University Diploma (DU) levels, covering topics such as consumer protection, distribution and competition, intellectual property and digital law, and food.
