2023 MONTPELLIER INTERNATIONAL FRANCOPHONE ARBITRATION COMPETITION

24th CIAM Conference – May 23–26, 2023, Faculty of Law and Political Science, Montpellier

The goal of CIAM is to simulate a litigation case under conditions that closely resemble real-life scenarios, to present legal analysis and arguments to an unknown opponent, and to argue the case before a jury acting as an arbitral tribunal. The CIAM aims to prepare students for the specificities of business law arbitration proceedings and to strengthen ties between students and specialists in French, foreign, or international arbitration, whether they are academics, lawyers, arbitrators, or students themselves. It is open to students from universities, schools, and higher education institutions based in France or abroad. Teams consist of at least two and no more than four students at the Master’s 1 level (bac +4) or with equivalent higher education. The competition is conducted in French.
