Malo Depincé

Malo Depincé is Director of the Innovation Communication and Market Laboratory.
Professor, accredited to direct research since 2012, Malo Depincé was Deputy Director and then Director of the UMR Dynamique du droit (CNRS and University of Montpellier).
Holder of a Master's degree in competition and consumer law and a doctorate in law (the precautionary principle, 2004), he teaches contract law, consumer law, competition law and European Union business law. A recognized specialist in market law, he is co-author of a consumer law textbook (Dalloz) and a competition law textbook (LexisNexis), and co-author of a distribution law column (Semaine Juridique éditionentreprise).
He heads the Master 2 in consumption and competition.
He is fluent in English and speaks Spanish.

Scientific animation

He is a member of the Jury de Déontologie Publicitaire(JDP) of the Autorité de Régulation Professionnelle de la Publicité(ARPP) and of the Conseil National de l'Alimentation(CNA). He has also served two terms on the Commission des clauses abusives(CCA) and sat on the Board of Directors of the Société Scientifique d'Hygiène Alimentaire(SSHA).

His research focuses on new consumer behaviors and the contracts offered to consumers, computer analysis of unfair or unlawful clauses, and the connected home.
