He defended his doctoral thesis in 2001 at Montpellier Law School, under the supervision of Professor Michel Vivant. In 2006, he was awarded a "habilitation à diriger des recherches", also from the Montpellier Faculty of Law. His research focuses on the field of intellectual property. He does not focus on one or other of the reservation regimes, but deals with design law, patent law, copyright and trademark law. Member of the board of Ingenium (association of social science research professors at engineering schools), Member of the association of law professors at the grandes écoles.
