The theme of the 2023 symposium was “The CPP: The Ethical Cornerstone of Research Involving Human Subjects.” A roundtable discussion was held on this topic, featuring an institutional sponsor, the head of the promotion unit at the Delegation for Clinical Research and Innovation (DRCI) of the Toulouse University Hospital, and a representative from the industry. The constructive discussions provided valuable insight into the expectations and needs of each stakeholder in clinical research. Four workshops on four themes concluded the conference:
– Creation of a unit to answer questions from clinical trial participants
– Inclusion of 12- to 18-year-olds
– Decentralized trials
– Workshop led by the administrative managers of a CPP.
